The key settings are Software CLUT Render = 1, Auto Flush on, and Internal Res not more than 4x. Sometimes you can see it a TINY bit in a tunnel if you stand still and look for it, but you never notice it anymore in game. Half Pixel Offset: Special (Texture) (This gets rid of a weird line in the middle of the screen)Īnd that's it! Smooth 60 FPS and no sun glare. Pre-Load Frame: Check (I think this helps with something but dont remember what) Internal Resolution: 4x Native (You cannot use higher than use or else sun glare comes back!)Īnisotropic Filtering : 16X (dont really know if this does anything TBH)ĬRC Fix Level: Automatic (I think this is default but make sure its there)Īuto Flush: Check (This combined with Software CLUT Render fixes the sunglare) Here are the settings I use (anything I dont mention I left as default): In October 2022 there was an update to PCSX2 that pretty much fixed the sun glare issue, even though on the compatibility list it still shows up as a problem. Tried using it on XEMU, but the game lags and it doesnt stay at 60 fps. I had the itch to play burnout 3 takedown (the best racing game ever), and loaded it up on PCSX2, and it runs fantastic but found that horrible sun glare issue (glare shows through walls).
